Disney Dining Plan

There are 2 dining plan options available:

Disney Quick-Service – 2020 $55 per adult and $26 per child per night.

  • 2 snacks per person per night
  • 2 quick service meals per person per night
  • 1 drink mug per person refillable at the hotel
  • Beverages (1 alcohol per meal for adults)

Disney Dining – 2020 $78.01 per adult and $30.51 per child per night.

  • 2 snacks per person per night
  • 1 quick service meal per person per night
  • 1 table service per person per night
  • 1 drink mug per person refillable at the hotel
  • Beverages (1 alcohol per meal for adults)

Table service does not include gratuity. As with any sit-down meal with wait staff, a gratuity is expected. This can add up, so make sure you budget for it ahead of time.

Table service are restaurants that take reservations and are typically better than typical cheeseburgers. They also often have characters that walk around during your meal to meet and greet and take pictures.

Kids are considered age 3-9 years old.

Is it worth it? Depends, if you are planning on going to a couple of character meals during your trip regardless of whether you get the dining package or not then YES I think it’s worth it. If you are only doing character meals because you bought a dining plan, then no, not worth it. My kids are still young enough that meeting Mickey, his friends and princesses while eating is totally worth it. Once they are older, I might change my mind.

The comfort of having credits without constantly thinking about the cost of each Mickey Pretzel is also a huge stress relief for me. I’m a penny pincher, so anything prepaid allows me to let loose.

And now there’s alcohol. Sipping on a mimosa at Cinderella’s Castle was quite a memorable moment for me.
