Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is now open in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World! Of course, Star Wars fans will make this a priority stop while on vacation but even if you’re not familiar with the Planet Batuu or any of the Star Wars movies, this land is a must-see! Completely immersive, you will feel like you are literally inside a Star Wars movie the moment you walk into Galaxy’s Edge.
Some tips for your visit to Galaxy’s Edge:
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is now available for FastPass+ selection at WDW. This is a Tier 1 FastPass [the other Tier 1 FastPass is Slinky Dog Dash]. Wait times often top out at 60-90 minutes for this ride but the line moves fast and the ride queue is incredibly themed. A single rider line is also available for couples or families with older kids.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the newest and main attraction of Galaxy’s Edge, is not just a ride but an experience that takes you fully into the world of Star Wars in a way, unlike any attraction before it. To ride, you’ll need to reserve a spot in the ride’s virtual queue through boarding groups in your My Disney Experience or Disneyland app. To access a boarding group you need to physically be inside the park, which means arriving early is necessary to reserve your spot before the boarding groups fill.
Be sure to utilize mobile ordering if you want to eat at Docking Bay 7, the land’s only quick-service restaurant.
You can make reservations to construct a lightsaber at Savi’s or a droid at the Droid Depot. Know that building a droid costs about $100 and lightsabers start around $200.
Last but not least, be sure to try the blue or green milk!
